FORUM AND CHAT ROOM RULES
These rules apply to all areas of The Solid Spirit, including:
Member Areas, Profiles, Comments, Private Messaging, Forums, Chats, and in the use of our Report form.
Did you see a violation on Forums, Profiles, Comments, or in Chat? Report it!
If a violation occurs in Chat:
- You will receive three warnings.
- If inappropriate behavior continues after the third warning, you will be kicked.
- When kicked, you may not return to chat for 24 hours.
- If you go against your kick, you will receive a week long ban.
- If your behavior continues after warnings, a kick, or a ban, you will be banned from The Solid Spirit member areas, forums, and chats for one month.
- Administrators will consider a permanent ban if needed.
If a violation occurs in Forums:
You will be given a maximum of three warnings, after the third warning you will receive a week long ban. Your second ban is two weeks, your third ban will be a month. A fourth ban will be permanent.
- Personal attacks of any kind will not be tolerated.
- We expect all members to respect one another.
- You may not ask for any personal information from another member. If they wish to share their personal or contact information, they can choose to display these things on their profile in both TSS Members Profiles and TSS Forums.
- Remember, we are all here to support one another and not to judge.
- Registering a Chat room nickname is recommended, but not required.
- Nicknames may not be offensive, triggering, obscene, or in any way disruptive of the supportive environment we wish to uphold.
- You may only have one user name on any and all areas of The Solid Spirit. This includes Forums, Profiles, and Chat.
- Alters in a DID/MPD system may register separate accounts- one account is allowed for each alter or personality.
- Do not p2p (person to person/ private message/ individual chat) another member in a chat room without their permission first. Moderators are permitted to contact any user via person-to-person or private chat at any time.
- Talk about suicide is not permitted. If you are in need of crisis support, please call your local emergency number or find a crisis or hotline number on our Teen Resources page.
- If you are in immediate danger, call your local emergency number or hotline immediately. We want you to be safe!
- Under no circumstances will our site be used for research, queries, surveys, reports, homework projects, or any other harvesting of information. Our site is a community of support, not a study.
- Please "spoil" triggering words. We have filters in our forums that will block triggering words, but in chat please be sure to spoil any words that may trigger other people.
- This is a "spoiler": ab*s*, s*x, b**t.
- Pornography will not be tolerated anywhere and will result in an immediate one month ban, and possible permanent ban.
- There are no professional counselors, therapists, psychiatrists or doctors on our site. The site staff is composed of volunteers and persons with technical skills to operate a website.
- Members of The Solid Spirit are not allowed to practice medicine, therapeutic, or any other professional skills whether or not they are a professional doctor, therapist, counselor, social worker, or trained specialist anywhere on this site!
- This is to keep the safety of EVERYONE so that nobody is harmed, tricked, or otherwise "ill advised".
- We may be required to turn over posts, transcripts, history and other identifiable information in cases of legal or moral obligation.
Please make the effort to abide by these guidelines, they are here for everybody.
